JSA Advocates & Solicitors (JSA) advised Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc.,a leading provider of innovative water management solutions in the stormwater and onsite wastewater sectors, on the India leg of its USD 1 billion acquisition of the water management business of Norma Group, a leading Germany-based manufacturer of engineered joining technology and flow control solutions.
The JSA team was involved in undertaking comprehensive legal due diligence of Kimplas Piping Systems Private Limited (a subsidiary of Norma Group in India) and providing strategic inputs on transaction structuring and regulatory considerations. The team was also actively involved in drafting and negotiating the transaction documentation, engaging with counterparty counsel, coordinating with regulatory authorities, and assisting through to successful completion of the transaction.

Kumarmanglam is an equity partner of the firm and also heads the direct tax and regulatory practice at JSA. He has more than 25 years of experience in matters relating to direct taxation (including international taxation, transfer pricing, litigation, anti-avoidance laws, and M&A tax), accounting, and corporate laws including mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, foreign investments, market entry strategy, and corporate restructuring.
