Sarvesh Kumar Saluja, Principal Associate, JSA

Sarvesh has been engaged in several transactions and projects as a member of legal and regulatory teams handling diverse aspects of corporate, commercial, telecom and information technology laws. In addition, he has also advised various telecom and technology companies on regulatory issues.

With regard to transactional work, he has extensive experience on strategic investments, structuring, foreign investment, joint ventures and acquisitions across industry sectors.

With regard to regulatory work, he has advised on various aspects of telecommunication, broadcasting and information technology regulations like interpretation of terms of various telecom licenses like UASL, UL, Audiotex License, OSP Guidelines, uplinking and downlinking guidelines, M&A Guidelines, spectrum trading and sharing guidelines, IT Act etc.

With respect to real estate work, he has conducted land title searches for many leading companies and was involved in drafting and vetting of various real estate documents.

  • Part of the team that advised Reliance Communications Limited on telecom regulatory issues pertaining on merger of telecom business of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Limited.
  • Part of the team that advised Vilmorien and Cie the fourth largest seed company in the world with about 260 years of history in seed business, in establishing joint venture with Avesthagen Limited and acquiring facilities as a going concern.
  • Part of the team that advised an international Video on Demand player in formulating its entry strategy in India.
  • Part of the team that advised National Institute of Smart Governance on their UID project on Legal and Regulatory Framework, their crime and criminal tracking network and systems project for the Uttar Pradesh police stations, their state project management unit for aspects related to the pilot phase of “Computerisation of TPDS” project in Chhattisgarh for Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Government of Chattisgarh and for their procurement of supply & system integration services and operations and maintenance of information technology systems on a turnkey basis project for Army Ordnance Cops (Ministry of Defence).
