JSA advised and assisted Weatherford International plc (“Weatherford”) on the India leg of the sale of its oilfield laboratories business to CSL Capital Management, LP (“CSL Capital”).
JSA was involved in structuring the Indian leg of the transaction which, inter-alia, involved detailed analysis and advice in relation to complex issues arising under Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, transfer of various long term contracts and custom bonded goods. JSA’s scope of work also involved drafting, negotiating and finalizing the transaction documents.
Weatherford is one of the largest multinational oilfield service companies providing innovative solutions, technology and services to the oil and gas industry. CSL Capital is a SEC-registered investment firm focused on energy services and equipment businesses in the US.
