JSA advised and assisted Akay Natural Ingredients Private Limited, SpiceRich Seasonings Private Limited, Akay Spices Private Limited, Akay Europe GmbH, Akay USA LLC, Akay Flavours and Aromatics (Cambodia) Private Limited (collectively, the “Akay Group“), and their promoter shareholders, in connection with the acquisition by Oterra A/S.
The Akay Group is a leading player in the natural colors and nutraceutical ingredients industry, and serves over 40 countries, has four manufacturing sites in southern India and employs more than 400 people.
Oterra is the largest provider of natural food colors worldwide, and is an EQT portfolio company.

Prakriti specialises in mergers & cross border investments & acquisitions and private equity transactions. Sidharrth (Sid) is a seasoned corporate lawyer and also the co-chair of the corporate practice with a core focus on private equity and mergers & acquisitions. Sid has substantial experience advising global private equity funds, multinational corporations and strategic investors on complex cross-border transactions across a broad spectrum of industries over the last two and a half decades, with over two decades in JSA itself.
