J. Sagar Associates (JSA) acted as the counsel in Qualified institutions placement of INR 500 cr. by Hindustan Copper Limited, the only operating copper ore producing mining company in India.
HCL is also the only vertically integrated producer of refined copper in India with access to around two-fifths of India’s copper ore reserves and resources as on April 1, 2020.
This is the first QIP by a non-bank central public sector undertaking.
JSA team comprised Lead Partner – Arka Mookerjee, Partner – Pracheta Bhattacharya and Associates – Sourav Modi and Ananth Balaji.
Arka’s practice area covers primarily equity capital markets issuances which covers a wide range of products such as Initial Public Offerings, Rights Issues, Qualified Institutions Placements, Initial Public Offering of Infrastructure Trusts and foreign currency convertible bonds.
