JSA represents JSW Cement Limited in the 100% acquisition of Springway Mining from India Cements Limited.
Springway Mining Private Limited owns limestone-bearing land in Madhya Pradesh and this acquisition provides JSW Cement Limited access to substantial limestone reserves pursuant to a mining lease.
JSW Cement will be investing about INR 3,200 crore to set up two greenfield cement manufacturing facilities in central India.
This deal was signed and closed in a record time and the JSA team worked round the clock to provide end to end assistance to JSW in the matter.

Kartikeya specializes in projects, regulatory and policy related work in the infrastructure sector.
Kumarmanglam is an equity partner of the firm and also heads the direct tax and regulatory practice at JSA. He has more than 25 years of experience in matters relating to direct taxation (including international taxation, transfer pricing, litigation, anti-avoidance laws, and M&A tax), accounting, and corporate laws including mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, foreign investments, market entry strategy, and corporate restructuring.
Nripi specialises in competition law. She has advised on several complex merger control proceedings in various sectors such as healthcare and life sciences, banking and finance, technology, chemical, petroleum and natural gas and infrastructure and is currently involved in several behavioural proceedings before the CCI, NCLAT, High Court and Supreme Court.
Upendra’s practice primarily covers mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, restructuring, corporate commercial, and anti-corruption matters.
