JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised MO Alternates in its acquisition of a ‘significant minority stake’ in the medical diagnostic equipment manufacturer, Sensa Core Medical Instrumentation Private Limited (“Sensa Core”), through a combination of primary infusion and secondary purchase of shares.
Headquartered in Hyderabad, Sensa Core is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and distribution of diagnostic devices, and dominates the domestic market for electrolyte analysers. Sensa Core also plays in glucometers, haemoglobin meters, and recently entered the arterial blood gas analyser segment.
The JSA transaction team was led by Partner Vikram Raghani, with support from Partner Akshay Bhargav, Principal Associate Vwastav Ghosh, Senior Associate Manoj Mohapatra, Associates Nishi Shah and Samika Pachouly, and Senior Company Secretary Niki Shah, who advised on the primary transactional aspects of the investment.
