India needs to win and grow on the pillars of talent, quality, innovation, differentiation and agility, and gradually, but eventually, move away from playing the labour arbitrage game. Promoting creation of IP in India, incentivizing export of software versus export of skills, and necessitating investment in R&D are some of the measures, if pursued through a series of policy interventions, would be useful in seeding and driving the much-needed change in the Indian Industry.
