JSA Advocates & Solicitors Advised Yum! Restaurants (India) Private Limited (“Yum India”) and Yum! Brands Inc. on the execution of a binding transaction documenting the commercial arrangements between Yum India, Devyani International Limited (“DIL”), Sapphire Foods India Limited (“SFIL”), and other related entities in connection with the proposed merger between DIL and SFIL.
Yum India, part of the Yum! Brands group, is one of India’s leading quick-service restaurant operators in the chicken, pizza, and Mexican-style food categories, operating under the KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell brands.
DIL and SFIL, both listed on BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, operate KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in India and certain overseas markets under franchise arrangements with the Yum group.
