J. Sagar Associates advised Volvo Group India Private Limited (Volvo) regarding the sale of its UD Trucks business to Isuzu Motors. The transaction involved the restructuring of Volvo and UD Trucks India Private Limited (UD Trucks) towards the sale of the parent entity of UD Trucks to Isuzu Motors.
The acquisition of the parent entity of UD Trucks by Isuzu Motors is ultimately aimed at combining the expertise of Isuzu Motors and UD Trucks (and group entities) in the rapidly changing commercial vehicle space, where technology such as electrification, automation and data analytics will inevitably play instrumental roles.
