India, with a rapidly expanding market projected to grow from US$15 billion in 2020 to US$63 billion by 2026, has accelerated its efforts through the India Semiconductor Mission and state-level incentives. Leading this charge, Gujarat became the first state to introduce a dedicated Semiconductor Policy (2022– 2027), aiming to anchor fabs, display units, and advanced packaging facilities through strong incentives and streamlined governance.
