Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools and their impact on M&A transactions

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a set of machine learning (ML) techniques in which a computer can automatically learn from data patterns and deductions without human instructions. This ML is based on algorithms which get trained using language learning models (LLM) on numerous/multiple datasets to produce correct results, both tangible and virtual in nature.

AI is becoming primarily important and is being used in many industries. The field of AI is progressing rapidly and various ML’s are producing new content, audio, video, text etc. Recently various tools such as Chat GPT, Bard (now known as Gemini) and CoPilot are in the market which use LLM’s to conduct speedy research, streamlining complex processes, case compilation, clerical tasks, and online search. Such Generative AI tools increase productivity and efficiency for lawyers by producing and forecasting text or legal arguments, using large amount of datasets that have been stored in the AI tool.
