He has extensive knowledge in Dispute Resolution from International Commercial Arbitrations to criminal frauds in local courts. He has varied experience in Litigation matters including corporate frauds, bail & anticipatory bail applications, medical negligence, scams, economic espionage, internet fraud and perjury.
In addition, he has experience in International Commercial Arbitrations under various international institutions such as the ICC, DIAC and LCIA.
Before re-joining JSA, he was for two years as a counsel in the Bombay High Court with criminal counsel Mr. Aabad Ponda. He was also a Case Manager at the Dubai International Arbitration Centre for 2 years, before which he was an Associate with JSA in the Mumbai & Dubai offices.

He acts and advises investors in Investor-State bilateral treaty arbitrations, and was the lead advisor in simultaneous litigation & arbitration proceedings in Sri Lanka and the U.K. for a global port operator, for which the Firm was awarded the ‘Asian Counsel-Deal of the Year’, for Dispute Resolution.
Farhad has advised & acted in numerous proceedings involving administrative law and constitutional challenges relating, amongst others, to excise duties and tariffs, service taxes and import & export laws. He has appeared in several landmark decisions of the Supreme Court of India on issues such as the liability to pay customs duty on the import of intellectual property and the applicability of excise duty provisions to immovable property. Farhad acted in India’s first cartel activity investigation before the new Competition Commission of India and also the first substantive abuse of dominance proceeding before the commission. He has advised several national and international corporate houses on competition matters, and has represented clients before the Competition Commission of India, having been involved in drafting information & replies.
Samir has also assisted in creating Competition Compliance Programmes for Corporate Houses.
He has completed his Master of Laws from University College London with a focus on EU Competition Law, where he was awarded a merit.
Vishnu’s practice covers diverse areas of Corporate Commercial and Regulatory & Policy. He focuses on advising clients across different verticals viz, Energy (Power), Communications (Telecommunications & Broadcasting), Transport (Surface Transport including Railways & Metro systems), and Urban Infrastructure.
In these verticals, he advises clients on multiple issues such as Corporate transactions (M&A), Projects, Regulatory & Restructuring, and Public Private Partnerships.
Vishnu has been practicing law for more than 10 years and has extensive experience in advising Investors, Developers, Lenders, and Governmental Agencies on Equity, Debt, Procurement, Divestment, Project development and related aspects in the Infrastructure space.
He also has an extensive Litigation experience and advises clients in formulating Litigation strategies.
Vishnu served as a visiting faculty on Telecommunication laws at the Indian Law Institute and is a frequent speaker at conferences and training workshops on issues of Telecom laws.
