Vivek has worked extensively in the software and services sectors as well as with hospitality, healthcare, biotechnology and manufacturing industries, advising on a wide range of issues from acquisitions to structuring transactions.
Vivek also represents clients in large real estate transactions and heads the Real Estate Practice of the firm.
Vivek’s clients include listed real estate investment trusts and private equity funds (including funds which are in the process of setting up real estate investment trusts offshore). Vivek has also acted for some of the very large e-commerce players in relation to their India acquisitions.
Anand is a member of the Securities Law Practice and specializes in transactional and advisory work in relation to Mergers & Acquisitions and Joint Ventures with a special focus on Private Equity, Delisting Offers and acquisitions in publicly traded companies (Takeovers).
He is regularly involved in general regulatory and corporate advisory and advises clients with respect to representations made to various Indian regulatory bodies including the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
Anand’s clients in the field of Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity include several leading multinational corporates, in India and abroad, Private Equity funds etc., whom he has advised extensively with respect to numerous transactions including Exchange Control Laws, Joint Ventures, Acquisitions, Takeovers and Delisting Offers.
Fatema has been working with the Firm’s Projects and Regulatory Practice Team in Mumbai for less than one year and her practice also cover diverse areas of Project Finance, Corporate Commercial law including Foreign Investment and Private Equity. She has assisted in various transaction documents and opinions especially in matters relating to Corporate Laws and Foreign Direct Investment
Mayank’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial disputes, particularly, shareholders’ disputes, minority protection and disputes relating to investments by PE funds and other entities in companies.
Over the last 12 years, Mayank has developed considerable expertise in this area of practice before the National Company Law Tribunal (formerly, the Company Law Board), Company Courts and has represented variety of clients including private equity funds, foreign investors, other minority investors and promoters in their corporate disputes. He regularly represents clients before the Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal and the Company Court.
Mayank advises and represents clients in commercial arbitrations, both domestic and foreign seated ones, arising out of Shareholders’ Agreements, Concession Agreements, other Investment Agreements and a few EPC contracts. He has also conducted Institutional arbitrations outside India. He frequently represents clients before the District Courts, High Courts and Supreme Court of India in matters arising out of commercial transactions, company disputes and in matters related to arbitration proceedings. He has also advised and represented several clients in actions for interim relief in aid of arbitration, challenging arbitral awards and enforcement of domestic and foreign awards in Indian Courts.
Mayank works closely with the Securities and Capital market team of the firm and has also represented clients before Courts in matters relating to securities market, principally, appellate proceedings arising out of orders of the SEBI and the Securities Appellate Tribunal.
Mayank also advises and represents firm’s clients in matters relating to recovery of debt and enforcement of security interest.
