Aditi Deshpande

Aditi’s core area of practice is Dispute Resolution.

She mainly practices in High Court(s), City Civil Court(s) various benches of the National Company Law Tribunal, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, and the Debt Recovery Tribunal. Aditi also handles matters before the Supreme Court.

Aditi has advised several clients in recovery proceedings, including proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, commercial dispute resolution, arbitrations and matters related to shareholder disputes, commercial contracts, concession agreements supply, sale contracts and engineering contracts. Besides general commercial litigation, Aditi has appeared in ad-hoc arbitrations constituted under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Aditi has been practicing law since 2010 and has been with the JSA since 2012. Before joining JSA, she was with Khaitan & Co, one of India’s premier law firms.

  • Currently advising Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank, State Bank of India and DBS Bank on various recovery proceedings.
  • Representing Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in insolvency proceedings relation to Videocon Industries Limited.
  • Represented Adani Wilmar in the corporate insolvency proceedings of Ruchi Soya Limited.
  • Representing Deutsche Bank in the corporate insolvency proceedings of United Seamless Tubular Private Limited, Ricoh India Limited and Mantri Infrastructure Limited.
  • Representing Deutsche Bank before various fora in relation to the Scheme of Arrangement between the Future Group and Reliance Industries Limited Group.
  • Representing Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited in the corporate insolvency proceedings of Dewan Housing Finance
  • Represented the CoC before the NCLAT in the matter of PNB v. Mr. Ashish Chhawachharia (RP of Jet Airways (India) Limited) &
  • Represented Edelweiss ARC before the Supreme Court of India in the corporate insolvency proceedings of Appu Hotels Limited.
