JSA advised UPL in its investment in Wind-Solar Hybrid Captive Power Project being developed by CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions
JSA represented UPL Limited (“UPL”) in its investment in Clean Max Kratos Private Limited (“Project SPV”) for setting up a 28.05 MW and 33 MW solar-wind hybrid captive power project in Gujarat, India. The JSA team advised on overall structuring of the transaction, legal due diligence of the Project SPV, finalising the transaction documents and closing the transaction.
UPL is a listed company and is a global provider of sustainable agriculture products & solutions, with annual revenue exceeding $5 billion. The proposed partnership with CleanMax will lead to carbon abatement of 1.25 Lakh tonnes of co2 equivalent per annum. Combining two of the fastest growing renewable energy technologies, this project will enable UPL to fulfil 30% of its total power consumption needs globally.
