Developments in Competition Law during May 2021

In the month of May, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) ordered investigation against Tata Motors for alleged anti-competitive practices, dismissed a case against IATA for alleged anti-competitive practice, and passed other notable orders, including:

  • dismissing complaint against textile manufacturers for alleged bid rigging;
  • approving acquisition of Principal Mutual Fund by Sundaram Finance;
  • approving internal restructuring of IBM Corporation and Motherson Group under Green Channel Route.
