Developments in Competition Law during January 2021
The month of January saw the Competition Commission of India release its market study on the telecom sector. Additionally, it passed several notable orders, including:
- dismissing the cases against Google and Bar Council of India for alleged abuse of dominant position;
- closing the case against HUDA for alleged abuse of dominant position;
- closing the case against Romsons Scientific & Surgical and BSN Medical for alleged bid-rigging;
- approving the acquisition of Videocon group companies by Twin Star;
- approving the internal restructuring of Sinochem and ChemChina;
