Sagar Srivastava

Mr. Sagar Srivastava is a member of the Banking & Finance practice at JSA. His primary areas of focus are domestic and cross-border financing transactions including syndicated lending (secured & unsecured), privately placed non-convertible debentures, debt restructuring and insolvency.

He regularly advises Indian and multinational banks, financial institutions and funds in relation to project finance, corporate finance, debt restructuring transactions and debt capital markets issuances. He also advises on matters relating to security creation, refinancing of debt, and general banking products. He has been practicing law since 2018.

  • Advised Edelweiss group in relation to a real estate financing granted to Shreshta Infra Projects Private Limited, in the form of listed and senior secured non-convertible debentures for INR 400 crores subscribed by Edelweiss group and unlisted and junior secured non-convertible debentures for INR 185 crores subscribed by Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited.
  • Advised Edelweiss group in relation to a real estate financing granted to Alekhya Property Developments Private Limited, in the form of listed and senior secured non-convertible debentures for INR 150 crores subscribed by Edelweiss group and unlisted and junior secured non-convertible debentures for INR 165 crores subscribed by Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited.
  • Advised Equity International LLC in connection with issuance of unlisted, redeemable, unsecured, non-convertible debentures issued by SAMHI Hotels Limited to the affiliates of some of its other shareholders- Goldman Sachs and GTI Capital along with a green-shoe option.
  • Advised Nomura Singapore Limited in relation to a structured debt financing granted to Hyderabad Jabilli Properties Private Limited, a subsidiary of GMR Enterprises Private Limited, by way of subscription to unlisted unsecured non-convertible debentures.
  • Advised HDFC Bank Limited and Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited(as the Arranger) in relation to the issuance of rated, listed, non-convertible debentures aggregating up to INR 5 billion by The Tata Power Company Limited.
  • Advised HDFC Bank Limited and Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited(as the Arranger) in relation to the issuance of rated, listed, non-convertible debentures aggregating up to INR 9 billion by The Tata Power Company Limited.
  • Advised Nomura Special Investments Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Nomura Singapore Limited in connection with a grant of term loan facilities to Ivy Mobile Technologies Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore.
  • Advised DBS Bank India Limited and Standard Chartered Bank in relation to Rupee credit facilities granted to Vikhroli Business City Private Limited, for an unsecured construction finance of a project in Mumbai backed by a guarantee from Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd.
  • Advising Standard Chartered Bank in relation to Rupee credit facilities granted to Coral Logistics Assets 2 India Private Limited, backed by a guarantee from Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd.
  • Advised Indostar Capital Finance Limited in connection with the assignment of loan of Vento Energy Infra Private Limited, a power generating company, to Omkara ARC through purchase of security receipts issued by Omkara ARC.
  • Advised MUFG Bank Ltd., State Bank of India, Canara Bank (London Branch), DBS Bank Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch, and Mizuho Bank, Ltd. in external commercial borrowings extended to REC Limited.
  • Advised State Bank of India, New York Branch in external commercial borrowings extended to Oil India Limited.
  • Advised State Bank of India, New York Branch and Bank of Baroda, New York Branch in external commercial borrowings extended to Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
  • Advised Bank of Baroda (IFSC Gift City Branch), State Bank of India, Frankfurt Branch, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch in external commercial borrowings extended to NTPC Limited.
