In April 2023, the Competition Amendment Bill 2023 received the President’s assent to become the Competition Amendment Act 2023 (the Amendment Act). Among other things, the Amendment Act introduces and amends certain provisions relating to cartels, some of which have been brought into force and some are yet to be brought into force by the government.
