Shivani is a part of JSA’s corporate commercial and technology, media and telecommunication (TMT) practice. Shivani’s focus areas are Data Privacy, Fintech, Digital Lending, E-Commerce, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and General Corporate Commercial.
Shivani handles contract negotiations for clients and advises them on regulatory compliances. She has advised both start-ups and big technology companies on day-to-day legal challenges involving digital payments, e-commerce, intermediary regulations, employment, and other corporate issues.
Her regulatory expertise ranges from RBI regulations, data privacy laws, e-commerce regulations, digital payments, to employment laws in India. She has guided various technology companies on cross-border data sharing and outsourcing arrangements with third parties. In addition to tech-regulatory compliance, Shivani has also assisted investment funds and managed transactional drafting and advice.
She has been practicing law since 2017. Before joining JSA, she was working with Lumiere Law Partners and Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys.
