Shareen Guputa, Partner, JSA

Shareen Gupta specializes in the field of indirect taxes. Shareen has more than 14 years of experience in advising clients on various matters under Value Added Tax Laws, Service Tax, Excise duty, Customs Law, Goods and Services Tax and Foreign Trade Policy.

She has advised both Indian and as well as multinational companies in varied sectors such as banking and financial services, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, manufacturing, travel and leisure, QSR, construction and engineering, oil and gas etc.

Shareen has extensive experience in advisory, compliance and litigation assistance including policy advocacy on a variety of indirect tax laws. In her previous stints she has led various GST implementation and transition assignments covering tax, supply chain, technology, processes and related functions for large corporates.

She has worked on several deals and advised clients on indirect tax implications on various acquisitions, divestments, etc.

Shareen has been practicing law since 2005. Before joining JSA, she has worked as a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited and EY as a Manager.
