Rajul specialises in general corporate commercial, private equity, mergers & acquisitions, domestic and cross-border investments, corporate restructuring and compliance, employment and anti-corruption and investigation practice areas.
She has an extensive experience in FDI investments, joint ventures, setting up of business operations in India across various industry sectors such as FMCG, infrastructure, energy, media, real estate and construction, services, hospitality, technology, medical devices, IT/ITes, manufacturing and retail amongst others.
Rajul has advised clients on commercial contracts such as MOUs, supply agreements, distribution agreements, toll-manufacturing agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, lease deeds, sale deeds and services agreements. She also regularly advises on Companies Act, 2013, foreign investment and exchange control laws, anti-bribery, contract, employment, information technology, data privacy and consumer laws.
As part of the employment practice, she is actively engaged in advising on labour laws and related compliances. She has been involved in employment-related investigations relating to allegations of misconduct (such as corruption, mismanagement, fraud and cheating) and other issues concerning employees of an organisation. She regularly assists clients in drafting employment agreements, workplace policies, employee manuals, and provides regular assistance in areas like the downsizing of workforce and retrenchment of employees.
She has experience in drafting and implementation of anti-corruption policies and code of conducts, conducting anti-corruption investigations, training and workshops on anti-corruption and corporate frauds for subsidiaries of foreign companies operating in India.
Before joining JSA, Rajul was associated with Amarchand & Mangaldas, Mumbai with the general corporate commercial team.
