Rajesh Jha

Rajesh is involved in the disputes practice with primary focus on the Electricity Regulatory litigation. Within the energy sector, he has been involved in litigation & legal opinions concerning regulatory issues pertaining to Force Majeure, Change in Law, Trading, Generation, Distribution and Transmission of Electricity, disputes arising out of Agreements, Tariff Petitions, etc. His contribution extends to drafting Petitions, Appeals, Applications, Notices, Rejoinders, Statement of Claims, etc.

Rajesh also advises various corporates and MNCs on complex and high-stake disputes and represents the Clients in several commercial and regulatory matters before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, Electricity Commissions (Central and States), sector-specific Statutory Authorities and other Tribunals.

In addition, he brings along with himself an extensive experience in Corporate Commercial Litigation, Arbitrations and White-Collar Criminal Defence to the table. In his erstwhile experiences, he has advised and represented domestic and international clients regarding various commercial disputes and criminal matters inter alia under Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996, Indian Contract Act 1872, Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002, Foreign Exchange Management Act 1999, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code 2016, etc. before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble NCLT & Hon’ble NCLAT at New Delhi, Hon’ble Adjudicating Authority & Appellate Tribunal for PMLA and FEMA as well as Hon’ble District Courts.

He has been practicing law since 2021. Before joining JSA, he was engaged with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., one of India’s premier and oldest law firms, and has worked on matters pertaining to commercial disputes and white-collar crimes.
