Nikhil P. Joseph

Nikhil is a Partner at the Bengaluru office of JSA. His practice areas are private mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments and corporate restructuring. His responsibilities include advising clients on the structuring of the transaction, conducting legal due diligence, drafting and negotiation of the definitive documents and assisting with the closing. Nikhil also advises clients on corporate governance, exchange control laws and employment matters.

While his focus is on transactions in the real estate and infrastructure space, he has extensive experience in transactions and advisory in other sectors such as technology and media, services, life sciences and healthcare, hospitality, tourism and retail. Additionally, he is a part of the firm’s JSA’s startup practice and regularly advises startups in their fundraises, acquisitions and pre-litigation matters.

  • Represented a US-based private equity fund on the India leg of the acquisition of a professional services firm providing accounting and tax filing services
  • Represented an Australian manufacturer of protective equipment in its acquisition of the personal protective equipment business of an American multinational consumer goods and personal care corporation
  • Advised one of India’s leading interior décor solutions provider in a composite transaction involving the acquisition of another entity in the same space by way of a share swap and amalgamation, and fundraise from a group of investors including the target’s investors
