Jinay specialises in Private Equity, Mergers & Cross Border Investments & Acquisitions transactions.

He has transactional experience in advising both Indian and foreign entities in several domestic and international corporate commercial transactions including private and public M&A, private equity (acted both as investor’s and company’s counsel), corporate restructuring including mergers, demergers, business sale, buyouts, foreign direct investment (FDI) and corporate and securities laws advisory. Jinay also regularly advises on all types of commercial and corporate contracts.

He has been practicing law since 2019.

Some of the key assignments in these areas handled and being handled by Jinay amongst others, cover the following:

  • Advised Baring Private Equity Asia in its acquisition of Healthcare Services Business of Hinduja Global Solutions for a consideration of USD 1.2 billion.
  • Advised Google in acquiring 1.28% equity stake in Bharti Airtel Limited. Deal Value: USD 700 million.
  • Advised Multiples Alternate Asset Management in an investment by a consortium of investors led by Multiples for a 9.3% stake in BDR Pharmaceuticals International Private Limited. This is the first investment into the company. Deal Value: INR 685 crores.
  • Advised Temasek in its follow-on investment in Dr. Agarwals Health Care Limited along with global private equity fund TPG Growth Capital.
  • Advised MO Alternate Investment Advisors (a subsidiary of the conglomerate Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd Services) in its investment in Join Ventures Solutions Private Limited. Deal Value: USD 23.5 Million.
  • Advised Thirdware Solutions Limited and its shareholders for the sale of 100% of equity of Thirdware to Tech Mahindra Limited.
  • Advised Wonderchef Home Appliances Pvt. Ltd. in its Series C round funding via a combination of primary and secondary transactions. Deal Value: INR 150 crores/ USD 20 million.
