Gayatri is actively involved in the disputes practice of the firm with primary focus in the Regulatory and Infrastructure litigation which includes disputes related to Energy, Environment, EPC, Civil Aviation law etc.
Her primary practice focuses on representing power sector clients before various fora being Supreme Court of India, different High Courts, Electricity Commissions (Center/State), Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, sector specific bodies/authorities, Arbitral Tribunals etc., in several high stake matters. She has been an integral part in securing some of the path breaking judgments and orders in electricity domain from various Courts, Tribunals and Commissions.
She has also been involved in several advisories and legal opinions concerning regulatory issues pertaining to force majeure, change in law, end-use of coal, import of coal and surrounding issues, renewable energy certificates and its trading, renewable power purchase obligations, issues in transmission sector i.e. mismatch issues, issues around grant of long term access, operationalization etc., other generation, distribution, and transmission issues, sector-specific reforms, etc.
Gayatri holds extensive experience of more than 8 years covering the whole spectrum of advisory, risk analysis and arguing matters before various fora. She has been regularly representing country’s big corporate houses, government institutions and industry associations on several landmark and sectoral issues.
