Kartikeya has over 12 years of PQE and has been actively involved in advising domestic and foreign clients in the areas of infrastructure finance, corporate finance, debt restructuring, banking & finance regulations and external commercial borrowings. He represents both sponsors and lenders in financing transactions and has experience in sectors spanning renewable energy, roads, ports, manufacturing, conventional power, transmission, real estate, airport, hospitals and technology services.

  • Advised Blue Leaf Energy Renewables Private Limited, in relation to a financing made available by Axis Bank Limited for the purpose of development of a 244.2 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project.
  • Advised Eden Renewable Alma Private Limited, a company sponsored by Total Energies Renewables SAS and EDF Renouvelables S.A., in relation to a financing from Bank of America, N.A., BNP Paribas and MUFG Bank, Ltd. for a 300 MW Solar Power Project.
  • Advised 2 SPVs forming part of the Cube Highways Group, in relation to the financial assistance availed from consortium of lenders led by National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development under the TOT model.
  • Advised GuarantCo and Axis Bank Limited in various financing deals pursuant to a framework agreement wherein GuarantCo agreed to provide Axis Bank Limited with a partial guarantee, allowing mobilisation of funds in local currency to finance the e-mobility ecosystem in India.
  • Advised a consortium of lenders led by State Bank of India on financing made available to Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited, for part financing the cost of construction and development of three separate natural gas based urea manufacturing complexes in Gorakhpur, Sindri and Barauni.
  • Advised lenders led by Canara Bank, in relation to loan facilities comprising term loan facility and PBG facility, made available to Jindal Paradip Port Limited, part of the Jindal at the Paradip Port, Odisha on a BOT basis.
  • Advised lenders in relation to financing made available to VITP Private Limited, part of the Capitaland group, for part-financing the project cost of a data centre facility in Hyderabad.
  • Advised lenders led by Axis Bank Limited and ICICI Bank Limited in relation to rupee term loan facility availed by a subsidiary of the Cube Highways Group, in relation to a TOT project.
  • Advised a consortium of lenders led by State Bank of India in relation to various senior and subordinate loan facilities availed by Prayagraj Power Generation Company Limited for part financing the cost of developing a 1980 MW coal based power plant in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Advised Mizuho Bank Limited in relation to financing made available to Information Technology Park Limited, part of the Capitaland Group.
  • Advised different entities under the L&T Financial Services group on separate term loan facilities provided to 12 SPVs set up by Essel Green Energy Private Limited for developing and implementing solar power projects of 365 MWs in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
  • Advised lenders led by Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited and IndusInd Bank Limited in relation to the financial assistance made available to an SPV of Ayana Group, for part financing the project cost in relation to the 300 MW AC solar power project in Rajasthan.
  • Advised Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited and Aditya Birla Finance Limited in relation to financing made available to 2 SPVs of Vibrant Energy Holdings Pte. Ltd, for setting up a 45 MW AC solar power generation project and a 54 MW wind power generation project in Maharashtra.
  • Advised a subsidiary of Azure Power in availing financing from Société Générale, MUFG Bank and EDC for a 300 MW Solar Power Project. The deal won the “India Renewable Energy Deal of the Year Award” at Asset Triple A Asia Infrastructure Awards 2022.
  • Advised lenders led by Axis Bank Limited and NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited on grant of financial assistance to 5 SPVs of Global Infrastructure Partners involving separate term loan facilities, in connection with 8 solar power plants located in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Karnataka. The deal won the “India Refinancing Deal of the Year Award” at Asset Triple A Asia Infrastructure Awards 2021.
  • Advised lenders led by Axis Bank Limited in relation to the financial assistance made available to 5 SPVs acquired by the Actis Group, for refinancing their existing debt availed with respect to separate road projects developed under the hybrid annuity model and BOT model with NHAI.
  • Advised SB Energy Six Private Limited (sponsored by SB Energy Holdings Limited, a part of the SoftBank group) in an ECB financing involving lenders from various jurisdictions including MUFG Bank Limited, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, BNP Paribas, Société Générale and Standard Chartered Bank for the purpose of setting up and developing solar farms with an aggregate capacity of 600MW. The deal won ‘Indian Green Deal of the Year‘ award by Project Finance International (PFI) 2020. The deal also won the “India Green Project of the Year Award” at Asset Triple A Asia Infrastructure Awards 2021
