Vaibhav is an experienced Competition / Antitrust lawyer with more than nine years’ experience as a qualified lawyer. He represents and advises clients on a broad range of Competition Law matters, and has been handling some of the high profile litigation cases at Competition Commission of India, including Director General (Investigation) and also at the appellate court, High Courts & Supreme Court of India.
He advises multinational corporations in relation to a whole range of Competition issues (contentious as well as advisory) in a variety of sectors. He routinely advises a number of multinational corporations and industry associations on their Competition compliance and dawn raid programmes. He has also advised & represented companies on cases relating to cartel leniency.
Vaibhav also advises on M&A transactions from the Competition Law perspective, by devising their merger control strategy, combining commercial, legal and often political considerations to maximise the chance of a successful outcome. He has been involved with combination filings & seeking approval from the Competition Commission of India since the promulgation of Combination Regulations in June 2011.
He has had the good fortune of receiving tutelage from Prof. Richard Whish in EU Competition Law at Kings College, London. He is a member of the advisory & peer review board of Competition Law Cirque of National Law University, Jodhpur. He has authored numerous articles in International & National Competition Law Journals and leading Newspapers.
