Sourav specialises in the area of capital markets and securities. He has advised issuers, investment bankers and underwriters in various equity and debt capital markets transactions involving Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs), IPOs, QIPs, Rights Issuances and bond issuances. He has also advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and general corporate commercial laws.

With an experience of more than half a decade, Sourav has a niche for InvITs. He was part of the first public issuance of units by an InvIT sponsored by a public sector undertaking- Powergrid InvIT. He was also part of the team that successfully completed the initial placement of units on a private placement basis and listing of National Highways Infra Trust. This was the first-ever private placement of units in India by a public sector body- NHAI. Subsequently, he has also assisted in the institutional placement of units by the National Highways Infra Trust, which was also the first ever institutional placement of units in India. He has also advised on the acquisition of nine road assets by IndInfravit Trust, an InvIT from Sadbhav Infrastructure Project Limited.

Recent transactions include the IPO of Senco Gold Limited, Tracxn Technologies Limited, Harsha Engineers International Limited, Tarsons Products Limited, Electronics Mart India Limited, Anand Rathi Wealth Limited, Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited, Craftsman Automation Limited, Railtel Corporation of India Limited, Route Mobile Limited, Rossario Biotech Limited, Rights Issue of Tata Sponge Iron Limited, Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited, QIP of Indiabulls Real Estate Limited, Aarti Industries Limited, Hindustan Copper Limited, Phillips Carbon Black Limited, Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited, Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, bond issuance by the UK Subsidiary of Lodha Group. He also advised on the restructuring of debt of the Suzlon Group.
