Ronak is an experienced banking-finance and corporate lawyer at JSA.
His banking-finance practice encompasses advising domestic and international banks, corporates and some of the world’s largest financial institutions on transactions and bank lending instruments – secured, limited recourse and syndicated. He also advises on matters relating to security creation, refinancing of debt, unlisted debt and general banking products.
Ronak has been instrumental in assisting multinational banks and financial institutions from an Indian law perspective with formulating, tailoring and successfully implementing their trade finance structures and receivables financing programs.
Ronak attributes innovation as one of the driving forces in his career. He takes great interest in the current innovations around digital payments and e-commerce in India and sees his role to be supportive of them. He has advised payment and e-commerce companies in connection with their business and operations in India. As part of his keen interest in this area, he is a part of JSA’s Fintech Development Initiative group.
Ronak concentrates his corporate practice around private equity investment transactions and corporate law advisory matters. He has been representing corporates and investors for structuring their investments and contracts, facilitating their entry and set-up in India as well as with their day-to-day corporate compliance related matters. He has also advised alternate investment fund entities (AIFs) with applicable Indian law compliance requirements to them as well as to their portfolio investments across various sectors.
Ronak is also regularly involved in supporting clients with advice on Indian exchange control regulations for their financing and corporate transactions.
