Pallavi Banerjee, Principal Associate, JSA

Pallavi is a member of the Banking & Finance practice. She focuses on debt transactions including syndicated lending (secured & unsecured), domestic & external commercial borrowings and security creation.

Pallavi also advises on transactions related to receivables financing, lease rent discounting and inventory funding. Pallavi has advised multiple financial institutions on different issues relating to regulations and policies applicable to non-banking financial companies and banks. Her practice also includes advising clients on corporate law issues.

  • Advised Deutsche Bank AG in relation to various trade finance facilities involving export advances to Indian exporters.
  • Advised John Deere India in relation to domestic factoring and receivables purchase transactions with its customers of heavy machinery and farm equipment.
  • Advised Maesrk Trade Finance A/S in relation to various multi- million-dollar export factoring transactions as well as cross border buy-sell trade financing structures.
  • Advised Mizuho Bank Ltd. on various import finance, export finance, invoice discounting, supply chain financing and LC discounting transactions.
  • Advised the Lending Consortium on multiple long term prepayment facilities to Nayara Energy Ltd.
  • Advised BP Singapore Pte. Ltd. in relation to its funding under an advance payment supply agreement entered into with Nayara Energy Ltd.
  • Advised Citibank N.A. in relation to its funding of various multi million dollar advance payment facilities with counterparties such as Trafigura Pte. Ltd. and the Vedanta Group.
  • Advised DBS Bank Limited in relation to the funding availed by an offshore trading company for the purpose prepayment under a supply agreement entered into with Vedanta Ltd.
  • Advised Société Générale in relation to export credit facilities secured by underlying goods which are warehoused.
  • Advised Trafigura Pte. Ltd in relation to export advances provided to Nayara Energy Ltd. and the erstwhile Essar Oil Ltd
