Janmali specialises in regulatory and policy matters with a focus on litigation relating to the electricity and oil & gas sectors. His litigation expertise includes disputes concerning determination of tariff between generating companies and distribution licensees and gas transporters and shippers.
He has represented clients before various fora including the Supreme Court of India, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity and Central Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Janmali has advised and given legal opinion to leading companies (Indian & International) in the energy sector on regulatory and contractual issues relating to transmission of natural gas, Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) obligations, transmission of electricity, mines and minerals, in particular, relating to coal, environmental compliance and land issues.
Janmali graduated from the National Law School of India University in 2012 and has been a part of JSA ever since.
