Abiha specialises in disputes practice in the Energy and Civil Aviation Sector.
She has gathered experience & expertise in handling various types of litigation in the Energy Sector including disputes concerning interpretation and application of the regulations of the Electricity Regulatory Commissions and disputes concerning Power Purchase Agreements. She has also been instrumental in advising and representing a client on disputes arising out of Contracts for the supply of Transformers at Substations. In the aviation sector, she has been involved in advising and representing clients on disputes pertaining to legal obligations of airline Agents under the Agency Agreement and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Resolutions.
She has been involved in formulating strategies, drafting Petitions, Appeals, Replies, Statement of Claim etc., and assisted in representing clients before Electricity Regulatory Commissions, Appellate Tribunal, High Court of Delhi, and Supreme Court and in the briefing of counsels.
Before joining JSA, she was with Power System Operation Corporation of India Ltd. (POSOCO) where she acquired in-depth knowledge of the electricity industry while working on complex legal issues involving an interaction of law with Public Policy. Her work at POSOCO involved drafting of policy, procedures, and regulations. She has been with the firm since 2016.
