Venkatesh practices Corporate and Civil laws with a focus on Infrastructure and Foreign investment. His current work profile includes advising on Domestic and Cross Border Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions, Entry strategies, Transaction structuring, Financing, Joint Venture, Technology transfer and Private Equity funding. Venkatesh’s role in these transactions has included negotiations, drafting, complex structuring, rendering strategic advice and interacting with foreign law firms & investment banks.
He has worked extensively in the Oil & Gas and Surface Transport sector, and has an experience of handling government contracts & projects implemented on BOT (Build, Operate & Transfer) and BOOT (Build, Own, Operate & Transfer) basis. He has advised large Indian & International Oil & Gas companies with regard to their domestic and international investment. He advises on upstream Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operation Agreements and general field development issues. Venkatesh also advises on LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Sale & Purchase Agreements, Gas Sale Agreements, Gas Transportation Agreements and Off take Agreements.
As part of his advisory, Venkatesh advises on the entire gamut of the project value chain risk analysis and providing mitigation strategies. He has extensively worked in the Project Finance in the Upstream and Midstream Oil & Gas projects.
Venkatesh is a regular speaker at international and national conferences and workshops on issue of policy, law regulation, project finance, and reform in the Oil & Gas sector.
He has held the position of Hony. Secretary of Indian Society of Arbitrators, New Delhi and is a Member of the AIPN (The Association of International Petroleum Negotiators).
