Sherill focuses on Corporate Commercial, Venture Capital & Private Equity, and Information Technology, Joint Ventures, Mergers & Acquisitions.
She advises domestic and international clients on foreign exchange regulations and general corporate laws in India, and has been involved in conducting legal due diligences, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and transaction documents.
Sherill also advises on various areas of Information Technology Law including outsourcing, data protection and e-commerce issues. She has experience of providing general advice on content and privacy matters to IT and communications companies and their users, in international, public and private sectors.
Before joining JSA, she was with IndusLaw for three years.
Some of the key assignments in these areas handled and being handled by Sherill amongst others cover the following: –
- Advising a company which operates a marketplace for sale and purchase of digital goods, on the launch of their gift cards in India; a structure for operation of an e-wallet for Indian users; contractual arrangements with payment aggregators in India;
- Advising several multi-national companies on data security and data retention requirements in India.
